As many new college graduates experience, I was unsure as to what I wanted to professionally pursue upon graduation; however, I found that I was continuously gravitating towards positions that allowed me to work with youth. While completing my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at California State University, Sacramento, I worked as a tutor & nanny for a variety of families throughout the greater Sacramento region. After graduating, I earned a position at a local medical recruitment company which enabled me to expand upon my communication, organization & time management skills.
Although I found success as a Recruiter, I knew my heart was pulling me in another direction & in 2020 I was accepted into Brandman University's Master of Arts in School Counseling/PPS Credential program.
While working my way through graduate school, I have simultaneously maintained a variety of professional positions, including being a Residential Counselor at the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento, a PreK-8 Substitute Teacher, a Instructional Aide in a Behavioral/Special Education classroom. These positions have both granted me the opportunity to work with trauma-induced, behavioral/emotional children & within the school setting. Through these positions & in working with a diverse group of individuals, I have found further validation in my passion to work with youth.

In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my husband Aidan, our Golden Retriever Maui, two cats Howie & Sheldon, our family & our friends. I also consider myself to be a "boxing enthusiast," a sport I absolutely love & have religiously practiced for 8 years! Beyond boxing, I enjoy traveling, spending time at our local lake in the spring/summer months, & simply kicking back after a long day & watching TV or a movie with my husband!

As someone who was raised in the quaint lakeside community of Granite Bay (just East of Sacramento) & now currently resides in a neighboring town, I truly cherish my community & the surrounding region!
My goal after I complete my fieldwork and graduate in June 2022, is to earn a School Counseling position within one of the local districts.

I look forward to sharing, as well as learning from you!
